Standard Association of Zimbabwe (SAZ) raises concern on safety standards

The Standard Association of Zimbabwe has bemoaned the low uptake of safety measures by most companies in the country. SAZ Chief Executive officer Dr Eve Gadzikwa stressed that the number of injuries and work related deaths remain high  in the country. She says companies should be serious in protecting their workers.

According to National Social Security Association, over thirty work related deaths were recorded from January to September this year.

Recently the Chamber of Mines of Zimbabwe revealed that fatal mine accidents are on the decline owing to improved safety standards in mines.
